Earlier last month, we announced the general availability of Dub's API. Since then, we've seen a lot of new applications built on top of Dub's link infrastructure.
Today, we're excited to unveil a new way to extend Dub's functionality:
- Integrate with popular platforms like Zapier, Raycast, and more via our Integrations Marketplace
- Build your own integrations using our OAuth 2.0 flow
Let's dive into the details.
Integrations Marketplace
You can now find a list of active integrations on the Integrations Marketplace – built directly into your Dub dashboard.
Here, you can find some of our flagship integrations:
- Raycast – shorten & view your links in Raycast
- Zapier – connect Dub with your favorite apps
- Make.com – automate your workflows
- Slack – shorten links directly in Slack
We're also planning to add more integrations in the future – if there's a specific integration you'd like to see, please let us know via email or open an issue on GitHub.
Build your own integration
Dub also supports OAuth 2.0 authentication for building your own integrations. For example, here's how the OAuth 2.0 flow works with our flagship integrations:
- Click Sign in with Dub inside the application you're trying to integrate with.
- You'll be redirected to Dub's OAuth 2.0 flow, where you can choose which Dub workspace you'd like to connect to.
- Once you've authenticated, you'll be redirected back to the application.
Today, any Dub user can build their own Dub OAuth App to integrate Dub's link management infrastructure inside their own applications.
To build an integration, you can follow our quickstart guide and go to the OAuth Applications page in your Dub dashboard to get started.
Example integration
To help you get started, we've built a simple example integration that you can use as a reference.
This example uses Dub's OAuth 2.0 flow to connect to a Dub workspace of your choice – once a connection is established, you can shorten / remove links programmatically directly inside the application itself.
And here's the code repository for the example integration:
What's next?
We're excited for what this unlocks for both Dub users as well as developers building applications on top of Dub.
In the coming months, we'll be improving our application ecosystem by:
- Adding more integrations to the marketplace (e.g. WordPress, Buffer, etc.)
- Adding an "Event Webhook" feature to Dub for real-time updates (link creation, link clicks, etc.)
