Introducing the new Dub links dashboard

Links are the bread and butter of Dub.

Everything on Dub starts with a link. Whether you're:

  • creating a single link for your link in bio
  • creating multiple links for your affiliate program
  • creating thousands of links for your SMS campaign

...it all starts with navigating to your Dub workspace, firing up the link builder, and creating your link.

Today, we're excited to launch our new links dashboard – redesigned from the ground up – to help you better manage your links.

Two new views – "Cards" vs "Rows"

You can now set 2 different views for your links dashboard:

  • Cards: A detailed view with a card for each link (this is the default view)
  • Rows: A compact view with a row for each link

We've also included a buttery smooth transition when you toggle between the two views:

You can also choose to save your view preference for future visits by selecting Set as default – or select Reset to default to go back to the default view.

Which view is right for me?

The general rule of thumb is if you have a lot of links, you'd probably want to use the Rows view instead of the Cards view – as it's more compact and easier to read.

Display properties customization

One of our most requested features is the ability to customize the displayed properties on your links. For example, you might prefer to display the title & description of your links instead of the short link & destination URL.

We're excited to announce that you can now toggle the following display properties in the new links dashboard:

  • Icon: The icon of the link
  • Short link: The shortened link (e.g. d.to/try)
  • Destination URL: The destination URL of the link
  • Title: The title of the link (as fetched via our Metatags API)
  • Description: The description of the link (as fetched via our Metatags API)
  • Creator: The creator of the link
  • Created Date: The date and time the link was created
  • Tags: The tags of the link
  • Analytics: The analytics of the link

Similar to the view preference, you can also save your display properties preference for future visits.

New Filter UX

With this update, we've introduced a new filter UX for the links dashboard.

Similar to the Analytics filter, the new filter dropdown is now keyboard-friendly and allows you to filter by multiple facets.

Here are some of the new filter facets you can use:

  • Domain – Filter by domain (e.g. dub.sh, git.new, spti.fi)
  • Tags – Filter by tags (e.g. Social Media, Email Campaign, Blog Post)
  • Creator – Filter by the person who created the link

Our new links dashboard is now live for all Dub users. We're excited for you to start exploring it and see how it can help you manage your links more effectively.

If you have any feedback or suggestions for our new links dashboard, we'd love to hear from you – feel free to send us an email or tweet at us!
